Lion Beijing
Lions can be fierce & dangerous. This Lion rather has a regal character - it is protective, confident, strong & looks confidently into the future. The primary elements embracing the back of this lion are parts of patterns seen on the outer ceilings of the ‘Forbidden City’ in Beijing, China. Emerald green & periwinkle blue with golden accents add to the regal character of the lion. Geometric patterns on the paws of the lion are re-interpretations of elements seen on the typical ‘carretas’ (ox carts) of Costa Rica – complimenting a character of strength. The rear of the lion has elements seen on the ceilings of the ‘Frauenkirche’ (Church of our Lady) in Munich – star like elements that symbolize guidance. Red is used as a color-pop, a color that reflects vibrancy & confidence.
