Bear Berne
Bears are the symbol of the Swiss capital Berne. They are found on the coat of arms, fountains, of course the flag, but live bears are also even seen in a park on the banks of the river Aare. While many bears are often depicted as ferocious, this painted bear has a friendly, caring, protective look. The patterns on its’ body are re-interpretations of the ceiling-patterns found at the entrance of the Trinity Church right by the Aare river. The river changes its colors according to weather & light from pastels to majestic tones of blues. A pastel blue suits the gentle character of this brown bear, with other pastels that compliment the latter. Golden accents add shine to these pattern elements.
