The main elements seen on the chest of this unique pink tucan are in fact re-interpretations of the peak of the Chrysler Building in NYC (just up-side down).  The floral aspects seen on the wing & tail of the tucan are drawn from parts of typical ‘carretas’ (ox carts) of Costa Rica. The stars in pastel yellow, pastel pink with golden accents are elements seen on the ceilings of the ‘Frauenkirche’ (Cathedral Church of our Lady) in Munich – found also on the ‘Lion Beijing’ & equally symbolizing guidance. The choice of rich colors & an almost “edible” pink, with golden accents remind of summer & are positively energizing.
